Trial Lawyer. Former Cop. Relentless Advocate.
I am a trial-tested criminal defense attorney based in Fort Worth, Texas. Before becoming a defense lawyer, I served as a police officer in Arlington and later as a prosecutor—giving me rare, firsthand insight into how cases are built, how officers think, and where the cracks form in the system.
Today, I use that experience to defend clients in State and Federal court across North Texas, having earned a reputation for aggressive, principled advocacy and a track record of not guilty verdicts, dismissals, and numerous other favorable results.
My journey into law wasn’t traditional. I grew up in poverty with a desire to serve in law enforcement. In an untraditional move, I decided to fulfill my desire to become a police officer and joined the Arlington Police Department a few months after graduating law school. That path shaped my mission of serving my community everyday with the purpose of making it stronger one person at a time.
Through my mentoring, continuing education, and this website, I share practical, battle-ready strategies for becoming the best version of yourself through your service as an attorney. Whether you're a young attorney preparing for your first trial or a new solo trying to find your footing, I am committed to helping you build the skill set—and mindset—of a trial lawyer.
We all have room to grow, and I am still early in my career. It is my sincere hope that I learn as much, or more, from others as they do from me. Lets get to work.
